Know About the Hindu Temple in Dubai

Shiva and Krishna Mandir is a temple complex in Dubai, UAE. It’s actually Two Temples nearby in the same complex.

The temple provides to the large Hindu community in the UAE. It is the only Hindu temple in that country. The temple complex covers two temples. Shiva temple and Krishna temple.

The Hindu Temple is placed west of the Dubai Creek in the area of Bur Dubai. The temple is run in association with the Indian embassy in Dubai; the temple also conducts marriage ceremonies between Hindus; because registration of Hindu marriages cannot be performed in the UAE.

Al Fahidi metro station and Al Ghubaiba metro station is the nearest metro station to Hindu complex.

The Hindu Temple Complex at the Bur Dubai creek is the only temple in UAE for many Hindus in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al-Khaimah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Fujairah, and Sharjah – the 7 kingdoms which form UAE.

The temple sits next to a Mosque in the busy Bur Dubai area. The Shiva and Krishna Mandir temple complex were constructed in 1958.

Milk, fruits, sweets coconut, and flowers are given to Gods offerings by the believers here. Apart from Shiva and Sri Krishna, there are also paintings of other god and goddess like Ganesha, Goddess Durga, Goddess Lakshmi, and Sai Baba.

There is a long queue during weekends and holidays at the small temple complex. Believers have to wait for long period to get darshan. The shrines are devoted to Lord Krishna and Lord Shiva.
